Trafalgar Day Service
Kirkintilloch St Mary’s Parish (Church of Scotland)
This Sunday our service is at usual time of 11am with Junior Church on as normal. We also welcome some members of the Royal Naval Association to celebrate Trafalgar Day.
Trafalgar Day is the celebration of the victory won by the Royal Navy, commanded by Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson, over the combined French and Spanish fleets at the Battle of Trafalgar on 21 October 1805.
Again we will record this special Service but will it be slightly upload online later than our usual time. Thanks
Open day
As you are aware we have been opening the doors of our sanctuary to our community and to visitors on the first Wednesday of each month and I would very much like to thank everyone who has volunteered to be a guide on these occasions for their help.
Our next Open Doors Day is to be held on Wednesday 1st November, and at 12.15, as part of this Open Doors day we will have another organ recital by our Organist David Burns. This was very well received on previous occasions so do look forward to another enjoyable selection of music.
Admission will be free, with tea / coffee available and you can even bring your lunch should you wish to do so.
